I kind of like it that I havent wirtten in about 6 months. It gives me something to write about!
A lot of things have happened, other things did not happen & there are some others that havent happened yet.
Where should I start?!
My life has NEVER been SO BLESSED! Its all summed up to that..
Jon and I, both got jobs within 2 weeks of being here! That was a miracle since I have heard stories of people looking for new jobs for months, people being laid of and/or let go or simply not being hired because of the economy of the companies that cant afford to pay their employees.
But God has been faithful and we have been trying to stay in His will. Jon was hired by IBC Bank (a Texas Bank that has been a challenge to work for but totally worth it because it has made him grow in areas he had struggled with plus it helps support our financial stability) and I started working for Starbucks Coffee Co. which at first sounded like a laid back, fun place to work and get money but really it has helped me so much to develop some of my skills and also has given me oportunity to grow as a person in areas I had no skill at all. It is more than coffee, its relationships. Building relationships with the people I work with and our customers is our number one priority. After 6 months of being there I got a promotion!! What a blessing!!! More than a different title, it is giving me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills and be responsible of a greater load. I know I have been given a greater responsability but also I have been blessed by it.
God has been showing Himself to us in ways we never thought He would. Life has been hard at times, where we dont know where to go or what to do in some situations, have we made the right decisions? Is here where He wants us? Many questions keept bombarding our lives but we have learned that it doesnt matter if you are where you want to be or if you are doing what you want to do, or even if you are who you ought to be, what matters is that you are it and you are there for Gods purpose and for His glory. What purpose?! To Glorify Him in every area of your life, every thought, every move, every action and motive. It is not about your comfort, or your desire or your will, but His and your journey to become more like Him and bring Him all the glory.
We are here for Him, we do what we do for Him, we are what we are for Him. We dont need to be doing (what has become a christian cliche) "things for Him" to do things for Him, just breathing we breathe for Him and because of Him, walking, talking and everything we do we do it for Him.
